How we work
GT Covers & Trailers was set up by director Mike Gardner in 2010, following a need for a cover for his own trailer. The number of people that saw his work and wanted one themselves led to the creation of the GT Race and Trailers "Covers" department. Following that, there were many enquiries to what other work his team could do with PVC, leading to personalised covers for large clients such as Alpine F1, Mercedes-AMG F1, AB Dynamics, Motorpoint and other motorsport teams, military, retail and individual clients.

PVC Sewing : We have a dedicated, skilled team of PVC sewing machinists, who work in our specialised upstairs workshop to provide top quality products and results. We use multiple types of industrial sewing machines to perfect your cover, including lockstitch and overlock.

PVC Trailer enclosures : We have been supplying trailer frames and covers for more than 20 years and there are hundreds of our covered trailers operating commercially and in motorsport paddocks. We work closely with local companies to tailor your trailer frame specifically to your need, then we add the finishing touch - your new GT Trailer cover!

PVC Personalised covers : Do you have outdoor furniture that needs protecting from the chilly months, extending your once summer only patio into a 4 season affair? Our waterproof or canvas PVC can help you create an outdoor space that keeps the cold out and heat in! We also manufacture for agricultural, marine, trailers, marquee or awning needs.

Mike GardnerDirectorMike has been involved in the motorsport industry all his life before starting GT Race and Trailers' covers department in 2010. Since the expansion of the PVC side of the business, he has been dedicated to ensure top quality products, and strives to make his team as efficent as can be. Mike still manages his GT Motorsport team, running Classic Formula Ford 1600's for himself and customers to drive. In 2025, they will be competing in the HSCC championship.
